Pique has been a core supporter of the Catalonia independence and was among those who participated in referendum vote on Sunday.
Spanish Government and Authorities had declared the vote illegal and sent police to stop Catalan citizens from voting which degenerated to scenes of violence and division in the country.
The manager Lopetegui ended the training early on Monday as the Spanish supporters from Madrid abused Pique, asking him to step down from the national team.

“The behaviour of Gerard has been exceptional,” Lopetegui told Cadena COPE. “I wanted to see how he was and I saw he was motivated and enthusiastic. He’s well and fired up, if it were not like that he wouldn’t be with me.
“It would have been an error to train behind closed doors. The fans have the right to express themselves.
“I know the situation is unpleasant, but I ask people for a little reason and sanity.”
Gerard Pique has openly accepted to retire from Spain national duty if anyone in the Federation sees him as a problem.
