Did Ecuador throw the game? Was Ecuador vs Argentina fixed? – Joey Barton

Joey Barton has some doubts in Ecuador’s game against Argentina.

Argentina booked a spot in Russia 2018 World Cup in the early hours of the morning courtesy of Messi’s hat-trick. The game ended 1-3 in favour of Argentina as Leo Messi bagged 3 goals to avert the impending nightmare.

The Barcelona star entertained the crowd with a great performance for his country home to book a world cup qualification spot.

Prior to the game, Argentina needed nothing less than a win to book a spot and that was ringing in the players minds. However, they started the game poor as Romario Ibarra gave Ecuador the lead in the first minute.

Later the match hero Leo Messi lived up to expectation of the fans as he single handedly qualified Argentina.

His 12th and 20th minute goal relieved pressure for Argentina as they went into the break. He later made it a hat-trick with superb chip over Maximo Banguera to book his 44th career hat-trick. He has 39 hat-trick for Barcelona and 5 for his country home Argentina. Also the hat-trick was Messi’s 50th goal for Argentina since he’s started wearing the special number 10 shirt.

Ecuador vs Argentina: Joey Barton sees something fishy about Ecuador’s #23

Ecudor vs Argentina: Was the game fixed?

Joey Barton hinted at an incredibly serious accusation on social media just after the game on Wednesday morning.

Barton pointed out at Dario Aimar, Ecuador’s #23.

Ecuador’s #23 was hugely involved in Messi’s first and 3rd goal where he made some lucid errors that led to the goals. The player also coincidently plays for a club in Ecuador named SC Barcelona.
